About Andrew Sharp

Hello! I received my Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with a 3.8 GPA from UCSB. I developed an innovative fishing reel drag calibration device, Reel Easy, with four other mechanical engineers. Our product has potential to change the market, and we were awarded the Outstanding Innovation and Best Video Awards for our stand-out work.I am currently working in the Electrification Excellence team at Garrett Advancing Motion, where I am designing and conducting experiments and liquid-cooling assemblies to characterize thermal performance of power electronics. The fast-paced R&D environment has given me full autonomy over rewarding and challenging projects. I look forward to working at the frontier of new technology, bringing ideas to life, and becoming a better engineer every day.When I'm not making things work, you can find me backpacking, surfing, or taking pictures of my adventures.
