Lead and provide oversight responsibility of all capital planning and projects, coordinate all facility operational needs, and oversee all space management functions for CALS. Provides strategic guidance and recommendations to senior leadership in establishing capital and funding priorities and is a member of the Associate Dean of Finance and Administrative Services Leadership Team.Provide leadership and oversight in the environmental health & safety arena for the CALS. Oversee the development of resources and programs and assure compliance with state and federal regulations. Provide leadership for College emergency planning efforts as well as facility security issues. Interfaces with university officials, departments, contractors, and regulatory officials on issues that pertain to the college’s physical facilities; security; emergency planning; and safety, health, and environmental compliance.As a member of senior leadership, oversee the Office of Sponsored Research (OSR), Office of Research Development (ORD), and the AgriTech Administrative Service Center (ASC). OSR includes a 12-member team charged with supporting principal investigators with proposal development assistance and reviews and signs-off on ~1,000 proposals per year. ORD cultivates and implements programming to support and grow the externally funded research activity at all levels with the explicit goal of providing PIs with extensive support for developing proposals for large, complex grant opportunities. The ASC includes a 12-person team responsible for supporting all administrative and financial functions for AgriTech campus in Geneva, NY.

Cornell AgriTech in Geneva, NY has over 1,000 acres and 77 buildings including a full building and properties service center (staff of 50) providing utilities, building and maintenance operations, grounds support, fleet operations and field research services. Lead and provide oversight responsibility of all capital planning and projects, coordinate all facility operational needs, and oversee all space management functions for CALS. Provides strategic and operational level support for capital development initiatives; develop and oversee processes for establishment of project formulation, justification, budget, facility requirements integration, and development. Provides guidance and recommendations to senior leadership in establishing capital and funding priorities and is a member of the Associate Dean of Finance and Administrative Services Leadership Team.Serve as the key contact and liaison with central university facilities providing strategic direction and academic and program priorities of the college.Provide leadership and oversight in the environmental health and safety arena for the College. Lead programs in agricultural safety, field research safety, and greenhouse environmental management for College and University stakeholders. Oversee the development of resources and programs and assure compliance with state and federal regulations. Provide leadership for College emergency planning efforts as well as facility security issues. Interfaces with university officials, departments, contractors, and regulatory officials on issues that pertain to the college’s physical facilities; security; emergency planning; and safety, health, and environmental compliance.
