As a relationship-oriented person, I love helping others have the best experience possible when they come into my presence. I currently divide my time between substituting as a paraprofessional in the classrooms of Kearney Public Schools, where I am passionate about helping students succeed and making teachers' days go smoothly, and my work at Kay Jewelry, where I am able to assist people in finding the best gift for that special person or occasion. Looking back over a lifetime of work, I can see that what these jobs have in common is simply this: I am passionate about helping others!Previous to moving to Kearney, I worked for ten years in the tourism industry of Taiwan as a freelance tour guide, guiding people of all ages to experience my home country's beauty and attractions. My work included everything from guiding groups of one or two people for several weeks on private tours to organizing and shepherding large groups of tourists on daily trips. I also conducted special expeditions at times, guiding people who desired to see the most secret and hidden parts of our amazing island paradise. For each client, it was my personal passion to give above and beyond what was expected to make sure they got everything out of the experience possible..Likewise, before I enjoyed the adventure of tourism, I owned and administrated my own online English school for students of all ages who were seeking to improve their English skills for personal or occupational goals. This too was a job the demanded service, a high standard of integrity, and the ability to build rapport with others easily. I am proud to this day of the accomplishments of my students during that time!
