- Managed various elements of various airport master plans (SMF, MEM, ALB, GYY)- Conducted ConRAC planning studies at two medium- and one large-hub airports - Developed and launched new ‘Forecasting and Analytics’ service line- Built and maintained staff project allocation and monthly revenue projection

During my first few months at Burlington, I have observed numerous opportunities to develop automated tools and update business processes. In addition to continuing to drive initiatives to localize merchandise assortments, I am developing and implementing efficiency-driving automated data reporting and analysis tools. The custom suite of VB Macro-enabled Excel tools focuses on reducing non-value added time, and improving visibility to key business-driving metrics.

Transitioning to a new field, I am working with merchandise planners in every division to apply a changing set of localization techniques to optimize sales across different geographies. My role involves analysis of sales trends and development of planning optimization models.

During a two-year term at Parsons Brinckerhoff, I continued to refine my analysis techniques and methods in traffic modeling and bicycle/pedestrian planning. Many of the projects involved coordinating multi-disciplinary teams such as traffic engineers, civil site designers, non-profit advocacy groups, and public agency representatives. I also explored business development and assisted in preparation of scope, schedule, budget, and interview materials for four winning proposal efforts.

After business school, I started a social media marketing firm with my friend and classmate Terry Williamson. In 15 months we built processes and systems to provide social media consulting services to small businesses with a fixed monthly retainer fee. I ran the operations team providing social media management services to businesses and educational institutions. In 2012, BizSociable joined with Boom Social, at which point I took the opportunity to return to transportation planning.

Realizing the importance of being able to speak to clients in business terms, I enrolled in the two year MBA program at the Rady School of Management, UCSD in order to gain a better understanding of finance. My exposure to professionals in other fields greatly improved my ability to work on multi-disciplinary teams. The developing program inspired me to pursue a startup venture after graduation.

I enjoyed a great summer with Dokken, primarily working on preliminary site design for 2 park n ride lots associated with a new freeway interchange in Chula Vista, CA. I also participated in 2 major proposals (bike trail ED and a freeway overpass PS&E)

During a two-year term with Leigh Fisher & Associates, I enjoyed working with over 15 large and medium hub airports, primarily in the western United States. A few key projects included:- Oversaw a $500,000 budget as lead technical consultant on four projects at Salt Lake City Airport- Developed future activity forecasts and preliminary improvement concepts at Little Rock Airport- Simulated taxi cab operations to determine optimal fleet size at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport- Developed Excel spreadsheet model for public distribution integrated with airport curbside research

- Directed team of four interns to coordinate AutoCAD drafting projects with other branch offices- Created site constraint maps using Geographic Information Systems (GIS)- Designed roadways, storm water systems, parking concepts, etc.

- Managed and coordinated parking lot signage project with outside consultant- Secured $600,000 in New York State funding for Airport projects

- Conducted civil site work analysis and documented through drawings and reports
