I have almost 15 years experience working in the Credit Risk & Basel II/III (including CRD IV and CoRep). My current role is Product Manager for the FIS Ambit business unit responsible for solutions in Basel Capital Management, Regulatory Reporting and Data Management. This roles requires me to liase with all areas of the business including sales, professional services and development.The following are my previous roles:- Risk Analyst for Alliance & Leicester implementing their Basel 2 models and systems. From there I realised that the mix between technical expertise and financial business expertise was an area I enjoyed and was good at, which led me to my next role at SunGard.- I moved to SunGard as a Senior Consultant working in the Development team. Here I developed generic Basel 2 models as part of a team of 4.- As this development team grew, I assumed the management of the entire team. It covered around 30-35 people, split across 3 locations (London, New York and India). Key responsibilities were overseeing the development of several products covereing Regulatory Capital and Economic Capital. In my role I also heavily influenced the product direction and requirements throughout the complete development cycle.- From here I assumed the management of the product direction is a Product Management role. I enjoyed this role as it enabled me meet with the clients, and discuss with them the problems they were encountering and looking to solve with the software.- I spent 4 years managing the EMEA Professional Services team responsible for delivering/implementation of the Ambit Capital Management product. I particularly enjoyed the interaction with the client base, and also the project management aspect of the role.Throughout my time with SunGard/FIS I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies.
