The CodeClan course changed my life. I have always been a creative, logical thinker, but now it is coupled with a strong grasp of software development. My innovative imagination has been let loose and I relish every project, as a new chance to improve my own skills, but also to create something new and useful for the end users. During my time at Codeclan I worked on many solo projects, but also group projects, where my team and I produced a functioning, well-planned, web dashboard for use by CodeClan students and staff.I felt at home coding in java, ruby, java-script and react, as well as making my own game in android.

I was responsible for the outbound services with a team of 10 operatives. My problem solving skills ensured my team had a 100% record of outbound daily orders for the whole of 2016 and 2017 until I left. My management and organisation skills allowed me to increase productivity and create a better layout for machinery, tools and workflow.

I founded and developed the small business into a position of operational and financial sustainability, over four years. I have experience in all aspects of business administration, marketing, customer service, human resources, advertising, logistics and business finance. I created the environmental goals of the company, giving it a competitive edge in the rapidly developing, low carbon, recycling economy. The company had nine employees at its height. After four years my business partner and I decided to move and so we shut down the company.

I worked part time for several different companies. One was a spin out from Edinburgh University which has since ceased trading. It was producing a FTSE of major company's carbon footprint performance, in conjunction with the London Stock Exchange. I also tutored on the MSc. Carbon Management Course that I had graduated from.

The Carbon Management course was a huge influence on my perception of the world economy and how this economy will be affected by a changing climate in an increasingly resource restricted world. The course provided a cross-disciplinary view from the underlying climate science, the economics of carbon and the business impacts being felt now and those that are likely to occur in the future. It set me on a journey towards building a business to aid the transition to the green economy of the future. With a view to building and investing in many new businesses into the future.
