Major Venues and Events in this portfolio included Victoria Racing Club - Flemington Racecourse, Melbourne Food & Wine Festival's World's Longest Lunch & Brunch, as well as regional events, Australian International Airshow (Avalon), Sovereign Hill, Malthouse Theatre and ANSTO, NSW.A member of the Peter Rowland Group Senior Leadership Team (SLT), I contributed to business strategy and business leadership of the greater Peter Rowland Group business/es. As General Manager Catering I was responsible for delivering the annual Business Plan, creating and implementing strategies to drive all F&B related revenue streams, managing all F&B costs (incl. labour) to achieve budgeted outcomes and full monthly financial reporting to VRC key stakeholders. The General Manager Catering is also the nominee to the Flemington Racecourse liquor licence working closely with the VCGLR and Victoria Police in providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all racegoers.Managed by the General Manager Catering, the Peter Rowland Flemington team work collaboratively with all VRC departments and major sponsors to deliver the club’s goals of growing membership, rewarding member’s loyalty, achieving financial targets, creating new exciting race going experiences and finally successfully delivering one of the world’s most premier racing events, the Melbourne Cup Carnival each year.
