With over 25 years of experience driving innovation, I’ve held diverse roles that have given me deep expertise across software engineering, project management, product management, business strategy, and beyond in UK, Denmark, US, South-African and Iceland.I began my career as an Industrial Mechanical Engineer before transitioning into software development at Microsoft’s R&D in Denmark (also USA) working on (today) Microsoft Business Central with over 500+ engineers. This shift allowed me to build a strong technical foundation while gaining leadership experience, enabling me to manage a wide range of stakeholders—from C-level executives, product managers to database engineers. When working for Navision it was at the time the biggest acquisition by Microsoft ever and I had the privilege working with though leaders that later became VPs at Microsoft and Google.In 2006, I co-founded Atmo Technologies in partnership with the Luxembourg & UAE investment group Sharies, bringing a cutting-edge home automation solution to the South African market focusing on sound, light, safety, and security. As co-founder, I learned all aspect , from software innovation to sales, while also managing complex projects and stakeholder relationships, including customers, architects, innovators, contractors, and developers. This role gave me invaluable experience in building and scaling a business from the ground up.When my daughter was born, my wife Ásta and I returned to Iceland, where I joined Marorka, a leader in marine energy management software. I played a key role in business development and project management, eventually being promoted to Vice President for Southeast Asia.For the past decade, my focus has been on software innovation.
