Senior Packaging Artworker/Prepress Mac Operator working on the reproduction of all types of packaging. This involves design, creating concepts, creating artwork, colour retouching, step & repeat and all other aspects and stages of the Repro print process for Flexo, Litho and Gravure. I am involved in using automated workflows and using MIS (Management Information System) which is powered by Esko Backstage. I am always working with customers to meet their technical specifications and lead times. I deal with one of the worlds largest brands. This is a high profile customer and I am used to meeting strict deadlines at short notice.

Senior Packaging Artworker/Artpro Operator creating Artwork & Repro files. This involved receiving digital files in all file formats and taking them through the repro stages to all printers technical specifications. I was also involved in the production of artwork and colour retouching, following and adhering to customer’s specifications for Blue Chip customers such as Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s, Premier Foods, Manor Bakeries, Cadbury’s, Masterfoods, Birdseye, Typhoo, SSL International, Makro, Nisa and many more.

I joined as an account handler which involved liaising closely with clients. This role also included creating work tickets for artworkers/repro operators and plate makers - this gave me a head start in my current role. I then went on to learn skills which involved all aspects in reproduction work using traditional skills and solely involved in utilising them on the latest Apple Macintosh software packages. This involved seeing the customers specified requirements from the finished artwork stage to the outputting of final films and sending files straight to plate. This involved design, colour and type alterations and the assembling of customer’s files for viewing before production. I worked closely with a team of designers and account handlers on customer’s design alterations to meet specified requirements.
