Gratitude over attitude. I am convinced that being positive and thankful can help turn a situation full of lemons into lemonade. Most of the time, at least.I have a healthy obsession with training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) and I love to share my knowledge on the mat. Recently, I have found more enjoyment helping my friends and teammates develop their skills. It is the coolest thing in the world to show someone a technique, then watch them hit it on an opponent, or even better, hit it on me!Often times I find myself using jiu jitsu techniques in my business life. Not so much as wrestling with my colleagues in the break room, but rather applying simple, sound concepts to solving problems. Collaboration, refining skills, applying strategy, and more often than not, leveraging the team and attacking the hard work head on - then persevering when the road gets rocky. I’ve found that some of the most complex problems can be solved with a thoughtful approach, grit, and elbow grease.Teamwork makes the dream work.
