Extensive experience in the surface analysis analytical industry, many of these earlier years were at Kratos Analytical where I had a privileged career and was able to develop the skills of analytical science and instrumentation. During my time at Kratos my experience encompassed XPS & SIMS surface analysis including the design,development and product introduction of the XSAM800 and AXIS range of electron spectrometers.In 2001, I made a move to Ionoptika ltd. where I have been able to have a significant contribution to ion beam research and development. This has extended to the development of a state of the art ToF SIMS instrument (J105) and bringing the technology of Cluster Ion Beams to surface analysis. 2014 joined up with MKS Instruments as Snr. Engineering Manager to move forward the development of new products in to new markets.Specialties:Product ManagementResearch & Development.New Product Introduction.All areas of XPS and SIMS spectrometer instrumentation design:-mechanical (Inventor 3D), optics (SIMION), electronics (FPGA/PIC microcontrollers),software (C# & VB .NET).UHV sample handling automation.Ion beam design.IT including website design.Member IEEE
