My company name, Upbeat Consulting, reflects the positive and proactive approach I take to all assignments. I started my own business in 2022 after gaining 18 years of extensive and varied financial, leadership, operations and people experience at KPMG.Recent experience includes holding Interim FD responsibilities in a £40m turnover manufacturer, crisis cash & stakeholder management to provide stability for a client going through a challenging period, delivery of an operational & financial restructuring plan, development of new finance tools (including short and long term integrated forecasts) and general problem solving advice & support to boards. I have a wide range of skills first developed in my Big 4 career including financial reviews, forecasting, accelerated M&A and delivering commercial solutions, primarily in underperforming businesses. I also have an extensive track record of successful operational and people focused team and learning leadership, including design & delivery of a range of training courses for colleagues and clients. This included leading KPMG's professional qualifications team, responsible for delivering successful training to over 3,500 colleagues. I'm a fellow of the ICAEW - authorised to practice as a Chartered Accountant - and a qualified insolvency practitioner.
