Serves as the lead external facing officer for the Richmond Fed in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and West Virginia. Provides support to the Bank’s monetary policy responsibilities and leads the execution of Bank’s external engagement strategy.Gathers economic intelligence through interactions with business, academic, and community contacts to inform the Bank's assessment of the economy and support its monetary policy deliberations.Works with community leaders and partners with regional organizations to share research perspectives in areas of expertise related to the Bank’s mission as well as to advance the Bank’s community development goal of promoting investment in low- and moderate-income communities. Engages with the public in order to build a common understanding of the Federal Reserve's mission and gain regional input into the Federal Reserve's policy development processes. Speaks about national and regional economic conditions and Federal Reserve policy to business, professional and trade associations, community groups, and the media.

Leads the Bank’s regional economic outreach by giving presentations on national and regional economic conditions, monetary policy, and banking and industry conditions to a variety of audiences including businesses, professional associations, academic groups, and civic organizations. Provides regular updates on economic conditions to branch Board of Directors and occasionally to other offices. Monitors and analyzes US and regional economic conditions. Develops tools and methods to identify changes in economic developments and contributes economic analysis and commentary for Research publications and the Bank's regional economics website. Develops and maintains contacts in the business community, academics, economic develoment, workforce development and other constituent communities.
