Working with the owner and the marketing team of this well-established sports photography agency on identifying and developing new revenue streams and brand extensions. The company currently provides reportage photography for premium retained clients such as QPR, Fulham and the Wimbledon Championships as well as FIFA and UEFA accreditation, and a wider client list of all the major UK daily newspapers.

Following the secondary MBO in 2008, I became MD for Trade. I was responsible for Retail, Transport and Financial Services sectors within the UK business and the recently acquired Furniture and Kitchen businesses in Germany and Turkey, focusing on strategic sectoral development both within and outside existing territories. I have considerable M&A experience having led the Commercial Due Diligence process on several projects. Key achievements:• Commercial integration of the 2010 acquisitions, including changes to the senior team, development of the sales culture, and working with the UK finance team to oversee the re-capitalisation of the business and the instigation of robust process to facilitate ongoing development of the business. • In 2012, the principal German event had its largest event in its 15 year history.• Turn around of the troubled assets in Turkey, from a substantial loss making operation to a net profit in 2 years.• Continued growth of Clarion’s Retail portfolio of events, through new launch activity.• Continual year-on-year growth of the Transport business and managing the relevant JV relationship.• Ongoing new business development for several projects in Brazil, China, Indonesia, and the USA.

In 2005, following Clarion’s MBO, I took up the new role of Portfolio Director for Clarion Retail tasked with the continuing development of Clarion’s key event sector. During my time in this role, all events, including the UK’s longest established gift exhibition, out performed the market in all areas. Responsibilities:• Ongoing event portfolio development• Team building and succession planning • Integration of the newly acquired Scotland Trade fairs.

Part of senior management team invited to invest in Clarion’s MBO from Earls Court & Olympia funded by private equity firm Hg Capital.
