I began as an audio editor working primarily on radio and television broadcast projects, before advancing into the more complex and challenging role of Recording Engineer, where I specialised in Audio Post Production disciplines such as automated dialogue replacement (ADR) and foley. I also worked extensively in recording and editing voice-over for television and new media.In this position I was responsible for nearly all of the client facing recording work for the company, facilitating sessions to ensure customer requirements were met, and wherever possible exceeding their expectations. I worked on a broad range of projects with clients covering the UK, U.S.A and Europe including FOX, BBC, ITV, The Guardian, and New Yorker Magazine, as well as a host of independent production companies across the broadcast media and feature film production industries.Stakeholder management was a key aspect to this role. I frequently worked with groups of stakeholders who often had conflicting views on the project, and who often represented multiple invested parties. This meant that leading the process of working through problems to reach workable solutions under tight time constraints was essential.I provided advice and potential solutions when appropriate, helping to guide customers in order to reach their goals. This was incredibly important, given that for many customers, a recording studio was an alien and potentially intimidating environment.This approach helped to strengthen and maintain the company's strong relationships with their customers, and also contributed to their impressive rate of return business.I often received personal complimentary feedback directly from customers which was an extremely rewarding experience.
