Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) is a fuel produced from various types of waste such as industrial waste, municipal solid waste (MSW), or commercial waste.Selected waste and by-products with recoverable calorific value can be used as fuels replacing a portion of conventional fossil fuels, like coal, if they meet strict specifications. In the case of polyester-based textiles, garments are shredded and then granulated for processing into SRF.
