As a Master of Fine Arts student in Documentary Film at the University of Miami, I am passionate about telling stories that explore cultural identity and decolonization from a global perspective. I have a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from Wake Forest University, where I conducted research and fieldwork on Indigenous cultures and post-colonial societies in the Americas.I have also gained valuable experience as an Assistant Editor at CCTV+, a video news agency in China, where I worked on the post-production of "Liang Zhu", a historical documentary series that premiered on national television. I assisted the director in the pre-production of another documentary series on a Chinese rocket scientist, collecting archival materials and coordinating interviews. Additionally, I have served as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Miami School of Communication, assisting professors and students in film courses and producing promotional content for public events. I have skills in Adobe Creative Suite, film editing, and bilingual communication. My goal is to combine my works in anthropology and motion picture, and document rich history and culture by putting the experiences and stories of people first.
