A career timeline built from the work history available for this profile.
General Manager
I manage/train/mentor a team of security officers throughout the Denver area. Training consists of verbal judo, report writing, interview techniques, Security 101, etc... I also keep client relationships and build new ones through sales and regular site visits and communications. I do all sales in the Denver area and have added over $100k in new business in the past 5 months.
Field Manager
My responsibilities included training, mentoring, counseling, hiring, of all officers in the area. I helped patrol neighborhoods and properties, looking for any signs of vandalism or crime. I worked directly with TPD, to create a task force for problem properties that were known for drugs and violence. I had 4 TPD officers that would work hand in hand with myself and my officers, to create mini raids on these properties, focusing on loitering persons and repeat offenders. During these, we recovered an undisclosed amount of illegal narcotics, to include crack rocks, cocaine, heroin, and marijuana. We also recovered one unregistered firearm, and found multiple persons were wanted suspects by TPD for multiple crimes. I also was responsible for going to crime prevention meetings with neighborhood boards and apt complexes. I would speak and answer complaints, as well advise many residents on how to safeguard themselves and be less of a target for crime. I handles all client complaints and rectified the situation. I never lost even one account while here.
Operations Manager
As an Operations Manager, I hired and trained new officers to get them in sync with the Signal 88 Security DNA. I made sure they understood policy and executed it in the field. I trained them on client policies for all properties and made sure they represented Signal 88 Security with the highest levels of integrity and branding Standard possible. I was also responsible for the scheduling of all employees, as well as training documentation and payroll for the entire franchise. I handled hiring for all special events, which includes the Nascar race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This took me 2 months to plan, while hiring over 125 officers, completing all required paperwork and documentation, training, and track orientation, as well as attending all track official meetings. During the race, we were accredited with detaining numerous counterfeit merchandisers, rapid response to medical incidents, responding to and neutralizing fights (Often before police or LVMS police arrived), and recovering numerous illegal fireworks and several firearms during the search of vehicles attempting to enter the infield.
Security Specialist
I supervised/trained/mentored a team of TCN guards throughout many FOB's in Iraq. I had over 250 security officers including TCN's and Expats I was responsible for overseeing. We were directly responsible for all Entry Control Points on all FOB's, as well as the reactionary force for any hostile events near our FOB. This included advanced weapons training, advanced driving courses, and road operations for convoy security. We were the first line of defense for thousands of U.S. personnel stationed in theater.
Security Specialist
Member of a 4 man Rapid Response Team. We were first respondent's for all hostile events in and outside of installation. We trained in Convoy and hostile road operations throughout main supply routes in Iraq, as well as Close quarters combat and building clearing.
Loss Prevention Manager
As a loss prevention manager, I was directly responsible for all aspects of inventory and shrink control. Through aggressive auditing, I was able to determine the highest shrink items in the store, and create a plan to minimize loss of these issues. I was credited with taking a 2.4% shrink, and reducing it to a .89% shrink over a years time, putting over $175K back to the bottom line. I was then able to maintain this shrink amount percentage until I left. I was also directly responsible for identifying shoplifters, detaining them, and prosecuting them. While making apprehensions, I would also determine which cases were related to organized retail crime, and conduct interviews to get more information and leads, that would lead to bigger cases. I would prepare cases and conduct investigations, and literally create a start to finish book to hand to police detectives, which were later used in court for prosecution purposes. Another responsibility of mine was acting as the store safety manager. This means I was directly responsible for the safety of all customers and employee's. I ensured all merchandise was stored properly, and cabled or palatalized correctly, personally certified all users on power equipment, including saws, pipe cutters, and forklifts, and was responsible for all hazmat storage and disposal for the store.
Reposessor
As a reposesor, I was responsible for investigating and picking up clients properties. Property ranged from cars, trucks and motorcycles, to boats, trailers, RV's, quads, and buses. I specialized in hard to find vehicles that the client had very little information on. These cases often had no phone numbers, current addresses, colors of the collateral, or plate numbers. I would have to go off of my skip tracing abilities to track down last known addresses for the debtor, and interview family members and neighbors, to try and locate them. I would have to stake out addresses, often follow subjects across town without being detected, and in some cases, talk to the debtor themselves and convince them to surrender the collateral. My no fear, hands on attitude and work ethic often earned me the spot as one of the top 5 reposessor's with the company.
Security Forces
As a Security Forces officer, I attended the training academy located on Lackland AFB in San Antonio Texas. I went through over 500 hrs of training and graduated as a Blue Roped class leader. We were trained on laws from the UCMJ as well as the Manual for Court Martial. We had extensive weapons training, detention training for handcuffing and defensive tactics, as well as police procedure for traffic stops, building and room clearing, and hostile party interaction. As an officer on Nellis AFB, I was responsible for traffic control, gate operations, responding to alarm calls, (mainly for domestic violence), flight line security, DUI Checkpoints, investigations of alleged crimes on base, and routine patrolling of base housing. *I was the youngest airman to be selected for the Elite Gate Guard program, for my sharp appearance and military demeanor, as well as attention to detail. *Deployed 3 times, voluntarily to the middle East to include Saudi Arabia and Iraq.*Promoted to E-4, 6 months ahead of schedule (Below The Zone)*Awarded numerous citations including the Air Force Achievement Medal with Clusters. *Graduated Airman Leadership School prior to being promoted to SSgt*Worked as Cadre at Indian Springs Ground Combat Training School. This is a 3 week training course to help prepare Airmen scheduled to be deployed to the middle east. It is a required course for all USAF Security Forces officers. The school focuses on weapons expert training (to include M-9/M-249/M-60/M-2/MK-19/M-240), bare base defense tactics (from set up to defending), Close Quarters Combat, and Convoy operations. The class ends with a 3 day field exercise where students must take over and hold security of a MOUnT village. They are put up against the Cadre staff, who use CS gas, flash bang grenades, Ground Burst Simulators, and many other techniques and tools to make this as realistic as possible, to prepare these troops for real world combat scenarios.
