Currently employed as an E&I inspector on the new Soyo, LNG plant, Angola, West Africa, contracted to Swift Worldwide Resources, a member of the QA inspection team, representing the Chevron / ALNG management partnership.I have been employed in the electrical construction industry for more than 40 years, since serving a 5yr Electrical apprenticeship with The English Electric Co Ltd, I have spent the majority of my career in the oil and gas industry, gaining a wealth of experience in onshore and offshore construction, employed in various electrical & instrumentation positions, on capital projects Abroad and throughout the UK.I have extensive experience in construction, maintenance, inspection and commissioning, gained while working on a variety of electrical installations, Commercial, Industrial, Petro-chemical, Oil refineries, Gas processing and LNG projects.Positions held include, Field electrician, Electrical technician, Electrical foreman, E & I supervisor, Electrical QA Inspector, Client Company representative and Project Engineer. Responsible for compilation of daily progress reports, acceptance of inspection test reports, on site checks of as-built project documentation, preparation of Job packs, review of drawings prior to release and transmittal AFC.I have developed a positive attitude and culture towards the promotion and implementation of an Incident and Accident free work place, I actively encourage this philosophy throughout the projects on a daily basis.Experienced with the Chevron tenants of operational excellence objectives, IIF culture, and Behavioural Based Safety. Conversant with British Gas safe working practices and operations.My ambition is to continue working Abroad and expanding my experience in the Construction industry, especially in Electrical and Instrumentation fields associated with Oil and Gas, LNG Hydrocarbon processing facilities.
