Humber International Terminal

Managing the stevedore / discharge operations on the Humber International Terminal, a deep water tidal terminal this is two distinct operations, the conventional discharge of coal cargo, using crane and grab, to hopper / conveyors. The other side of this operation is the discharge of wood pellet cargo through a new CSU system, linked to ABP's state of the art storage and rail loading facility.My responsibility was for the safe working of our Stevedores on board the ships. The management and forward planning of resources. Working with the terminal owners, Associated British Ports to ensure timely and productive discharge or loading of their customers vessels.

Dili, East Timor

2013 – 2014 Operations Manager, Australian Government Aid Program, Timor-Leste- Managing all operations in conjunction with the Australian Aid Program to East Timor- Responsible for occupational health and safety, security, property management, IT services and fleet management - Liaising with program directors to provide support across all functions to facilitate the completion of the mission- Ensuring all governmental policies and guidelines are adhered to, while controlling a departmental budget of $5.3m- Developing and implementing new policies for health and safety to support the program- Providing specialised training for staff, identifying requirements and appropriate development courses
