Turkey

Selected for this role as the senior UK law enforcement manager in Turkey, with oversight of Georgia and Azerbaijan, I seek to challenge the threat of organised crime activity which may impact UK interests. Within this sensitive environment, I work in partnership with local law enforcement and intelligence organisations to manage serious threat and risk. Implementing complex projects, I have developed organisational resilience and delivered an informed approach to critical interests.I maintain resilient relationships with international agencies and partners, actively contributing to strategies both in the UK and overseas to mitigate threat to the UK. Responding to critical risk, I drive intelligence capture around international drug trafficking through Turkey, supporting appropriate information sharing with partners in the Turkish National Police, Turkish Coastguard, Turkish Interpol and Turkish Customs Enforcement.Developing and driving operations, I have led the successful response to emerging threats from serious organised crime groups (OCG) and provide active response to UK kidnap and murder investigations; supporting enquiries and developing information to support extradition requests.

Tirana, Albania, Kosovo And North Macedonia

I proactively identified, implemented and managed opportunities for joint working to mitigate international crime and its impact on UK interests. Working in liaison with international agencies and partners, I challenged exceptional threat and risk through the development of intelligence pictures to support joint operations to identify and disrupt serious offending. I established successful partnerships across local police and intelligence services, coordinating and delivering a robust response to the threat of serious organised crime groups throughout Europe and the UK. I developed the capability to provide tactical and strategic reporting on Albanian organised crime while managing operational activity to identify and challenge their OCG activity in the UK. I delivered significant capacity building projects in Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia introducing training opportunities to develop new skills in covert policing to develop information sharing and significantly enhancing the capabilities of the Albanian intelligence services.

National Intelligence Hub

Leading over 100 staff in diverse teams, I held responsibility for varied intelligence and investigative services. Liaising with national and international operational teams, GCHQ and UK Security Services, I drove the disruption of serious offending through the capture and analysis of intelligence. I managed the intelligence and operational response to priority organised crime threats and served as the senior manager for the NCA drugs forensic intelligence response. Additional achievements include:• Lead author and coordinator of the UK strategy for drug trafficking - Threat, Risks and Response.• Contributor to tasking process for operational planning with partner agencies and UK policing.

National Intelligence Hub - Drugs Intelligence

I was tasked to contribute to a range of reporting; supporting the resilience and effectiveness of NCA activity globally; inputting organisational strategic and national tactical assessment reports alongside setting intelligence requirements. I produced fast time reporting on emerging threat and potential impact on operational activity; reviewing and resetting priorities to secure a focus on intelligence capture in line with NCA priorities. Achievements of particular note include:• Identifying crime groups and vulnerabilities posing serious risk to UK interests, I produced strategic and tactical intelligence, providing an authoritative view of the drug threat to the UK from serious and organised crime. • I provided intelligence to disrupt high priority groups, ensuring a full range of NCA intelligence collection, analytical and operational capabilities were deployed.• I contributed to meetings with international partners and NCA international liaison officers in France and The Netherlands and presented drug seizure data to the US Dept of Justice.• I initiated and implemented a project to collate and assess intelligence concerning Albanian OCGs and their impact on the UK. I developed a strategic intelligence collection plan building cohesion around tactical intelligence to deliver a clear view of threat and risk.

London

Seconded to this role, I supported intelligence service stations and operations in Colombia, Mexico and Jamaica. I facilitated and enhanced liaison between organisations, building cohesive activity and providing operational support to narcotic objectives in Colombia and Mexico. I oversaw the delivery of technical intercept capabilities, providing reporting and assurance on legal compliance.

Covert Intelligence Technical Collection

Managing complex serious organised crime operations, I worked with UK security services and GCHQ, to target prolific offenders. I led the pursuit of intelligence, securing evidence capture opportunities. I also directed threat to life, crime in action and covert counter corruption operations.

Bridgetown, Barbados

Covering all the Eastern Caribbean Islands, I served as a project manager and mentor for critical covert intelligence projects. I held responsibility for the delivery of efficient projects which ensured value for money whilst delivering connectivity and effective intelligence sharing.

I was tasked with gathering, interpreting, analysing and disseminating intelligence to produce evidential gathering opportunities for operational partners.

I conducted covert investigations and operations around drug trafficking OCG, gathering intelligence and evidence to secure arrests and convictions.
