Responsible for Commercial activities in Raytheon’s Airborne Solutions, Whole Life Support Contract for SENTINEL ($1.5Bn) and RSL’s other Air ISTAR Platforms; including bid preparation for additional scope, taking lead in contract price and scope change negotiations with the MoD as the prime customer at RAF Waddington ensuring that Company process and governance is maintained.Initially brought in to recover a poor cash collection situation, has remained to become the Commercial Lead on-site for RSL, exploiting my MoD knowledge to the benefit of the Programme. Was part of the RSL team that won a Ministerial Procurement award for the Joint Sentinel Team and also received an RSL CEO and senior MoD Commercial commendation for proactively supporting the Customer during a period of under resourcing, using my MoD background to assist them with raising Contract Amendments. Prior to that, duties covered: Responsible for Commercial activities in Raytheon’s T45 Navigation and Bridge Systems (£50m+); including bid preparation for additional scope, with involvement in contract price and scope change negotiations with BAe Systems as the prime customer.

Responsible for the preparation and negotiation of contracts for procurement of aircrew survival equipment. Part of the team that successfully reduced the operating costs of ejection seat support by over 40% through a transformation programme, competing a prime contract with an in house bid. This programme resulting in three Chief Executive commendations for elements of the team. Duties included drafting Contracts; drafting and issuing Tenders and assessing responses from suppliers; Contract negotiation and price agreements for major equipment as well as consumable spares. Ensuring that EU legislation, Government procurement contracting and MoD Contract policy was adhered to. Personal licence held for contract award and price agreement of up to £2.5m.
