Joined Morrison Utility Services to help in the setting up and developing of the new rail services sector.Managing and assisting in work winning, bid management of tenders and targeting of work streams.Help to put in place and implementing a recruitment plan and undertaking the interview process for staff, also maintaining training for existing staff.

Re-joined Spencer as a proposals bid manager, managing proposals that covered a full spectrum of civils, building, mechanical, electrical and retail telecom works.Projects ranged from station new builds, extensions or refurbishments, Access For All (AFA) footbridge installation, rail maintenance depot renewal and extension works, line side works including power supplies to traction, signalling and points heating etc.During my last 12 months at Spencer I bid managed tenders worth circa £71m securing work circa £28m (39% success on value), or 15No tenders submitted winning 7No (46% success rate on quantity).

I joined McNicholas Construction as a senior project manager and was tasked with running the estimating and implementation team out of the Doncaster office.During my time at McNicholas we delivered several sites for the West Coast Signalling Power Supplies project, 2 sites for the Fixed Telecoms Network (FTN) framework, all these projects involved civils and M&E disciplines

Started as a senior planning engineer, within the first year I moved into a planning management role with 7No planners reporting in to me, later I moved into a contracting role as contracts manager moving to senior contracts manager in 2006.

In control of all planning activities within Bailey Rail, duties included the production of tender and construction programmes, the set-up of new contracts with the monitoring of productivity and commercial issues.In direct charge of planning on the £9.5m M&E redevelopment of Manchester Piccadilly Concourse.

Undertaking project planning and commercial reporting on the £15m Mechanical, Electrical & Civils project for the redevelopment of 3No stations in Liverpool.

Started as an apprentice electrician through to approved electrician.Taken into the Bradford Major Projects Office as a junior engineer through to a contract engineer then specialised into the planning department.
