Managed delivery of complete Insurance system (package and bespoke development) into Synergy Insurance Services (Sir Mark Weinberg start-up in corporate insurance space).Managed two major business projects for Capita. The first involved transferring the Customer Services department of The Childrens' Mutual from Tunbridge Wells to Capita in Barnwood. This entailed managing all tasks and resources associated with: business practices, I.T. systems, recruitment and training. The second project involved preparing Capita SIP Services in Salisbury for A Day and all the associated Pensions legislation change around that period. Both projects completed successfully to time and within budget.

Responsible for developing the business within a specified customer base (small number of large clients). Provide leadership and management for many e-commerce development programs, Euro study programs (including analysis and systems rationalization), and applications maintenance efforts, across the UK. Sapiens customers are mainly in the Financial Services sector and include some of the largest banks and insurance companies in the U.K. All projects are reasonably sized, each having a revenue value between £100k and £5m.Andy was international salesman of the year two years running. He brokered deals worth over £10m in one year and over £20m in the next. These deals represented figures well over the annual total UK revenue from previous years. Major clients included: Abbey, EDS, National Australia Group (Yorkshire and Clydesdale bank in UK), J.D.Williams, Aviva.

Responsible for Program management of introduction of customer ordering system into call centre for major homeshopping program (£6m). Managed systems development and implementation around group sourcing initiatives. This included projects to merge duplicate supplier information, the development of supplier compliance systems, the development of a factory system. Managed systems development and implementation of a P.C. network based video imaging system to record and transmit product quality issues across sites.

Responsible for systems development in three major areas: International business, Finance, and In-store systems. Managed internal and external teams in the development and implementation of new back office and front office systems into 340 stores. Delivered high-level business process diagrams within the Buying and Merchandising function. This enabled further detailed analysis of the business, identifying opportunities for improvements in both business practices, and the supporting I.T. systems.Formulated and implemented Project Management disciplines with supporting AS400 project software within the Systems Development function.

Provided Project Management consultancy, training, and support services at director and senior management level for various bodies within the East Anglia Regional Health Authority, including the West Suffolk Hospitals Group. Assisted in the production of Project Management standards for the East Anglia Regional Health Authority. Trained corporate users in P.C. packages (Harvard Graphics, WordPerfect, RapidFile). Clients included the Post Office and the Corporation of London.

Provided Project Management consultancy and support to the Unisys management team on a major computer systems development program (£5m). Led team of twenty through the systems test phase. Co-trained on Project Management and leadership courses. Clients included the Ministry of Defence, Kent County Council, and the Wellcome Foundation. Developed computer based training and reviewed systems development methodologies for EMI.

Led systems development and support teams in two main functional areas: Manufacturing (production control, stock control and planning) and Artist Royalties processing (complex financial and legal function). Responsible for creation, monitoring and control of systems development budgets.System tested and specified revised business requirements for the Artist Royalty System (IBM Mainframe)

Trained staff in the use of agency software packages and supported users with hardware peripheral problems.
