I am thoroughly enjoying my new role which involves teaching English to S1-S3 (12-16-year-olds) at the premier English Language school in Northern-Myanmar. I am solely responsible for teaching pronunciation to the Myanmar faculty members and developing a new curriculum to meet their needs. I have flourished in both of these settings due to my planning and organisational skills, and my adoration for learning. This role has encouraged my creativity and drawn on my technical knowledge of the language.

The role of Expert involves being a product expert/demonstrator and brand promoter. Tasked with mainting store fixtures, promoting brand image, controling the retail environment, training staff, managing in-store relationships, and securing stock. It requires a confident and approachable individual with extensive product knowledge to act as an ambassador for the company and share Dyson technology and innovation with consumers in a competitive retail environment. Experts are given a huge degree of autonomy and enjoy large amounts of trust as there is very little oversight apart from daily reports and we must must compete with demonstrators from rival companies and be proactive at all times. I am one of the top performers in the South-West division and have received numerous official positive write ups from Currys managers and customersDyson has been such a wonderful experience! What started as a weekend job while I was studying has really developed and expanded into so much more. I was honored to be chosen by Alex Clancy for his team at The Difference, the Dyson conference where all of Sales, Customer Service, and FSE were brought together for the first time in years. We really helped share what makes a great cordless Demo and the positive feedback from the Directors (Rob, Becks, Caroline) was fantastic. It was after this period that interviewing candidates became apart of my role. It is a challenging side of a business I hadn't encountered before but it can be really interesting to find the same level of passion in another person as you have yourself. Cabot Circus Live Event has been a huge success! We broke every record to date for a cordless event and all of the feedback, be it from within the team, or above, has been positive, if not phenomenal. We have even gotten a nomination for an award by the cabot Circus Marketing Team!

Such a lovely little shop! It's a shame it's so far to travel and just not practical anymore.

I'm really sad to leave all of you! It has been an amazing experience I will never forget. Teaching English to ages 4-13, curriculum development, monthly lesson planning, student progress reports, testing, IELTS prep, quarterly reviews, 'open' classes, parent meetings, and organising excursions are surprisingly tiring but it is so much fun! This role has made me so much more patient AND enthusistic. This may not make any sense if you have never worked with children before.

Promoted after 6 months and became responsible for induction and training of new teachers. I was ersonally responsible for prepping students for national speech contests ( We won 1st +2nd place!!).I became a little bit addicted to creating original lessons and activities that were tailored to my leaners' needs. All on top of monthly lesson planning, creating progress reports, testing, and teaching learners of a range of abilities and ages. It's hard to believe how far I've come from my 1st day here.
