Andy Graham is an international playwright, director and producer. His plays have been published by Samuel French Ltd in London and performed in the USA, UK, France, Bangladesh, Romania and now Spain. He has worked in television and repertory theatre as an actor in the UK. His greatest pleasure is working in theatre for young people and has written stories for children and over 30 plays for young people including Sense and Sensibility, A Room With A View, Maurice, My Beautiful Laundrette and The Hoblins. He has worked with over 3 million children and young people over 26 years with the internationally acclaimed snap theatre company as director, actor and writer in the UK. He set up a registered arts charity ai ai Ltd where he is the artistic directo.He has spent 10 years working with teachers and children in Bangladesh, Rwanda, Romania, The Gambia developing training courses and creative projects for children and young people who have no schooling, with special needs and those who are both advantaged and disadvantaged by colour, class or ethnicity.Andy is the great communicator speaking English, French, some Spanish and now learning Catalan.He believes communication with young people is best through creativity, challenge and respecting difference through promoting individuality and team work. His energy, imagination and sense of fun young people admire and understand.His event management and arts programming as programme director for the Rhodes Arts Centre turning round a white elephant into a vibrant successful venue earning respect and plaudits for his achievements.District Councillor 1995-2011 and Town Councillor 1994-2003 and Mayor of Bishop?s Stortford 1998/99. Chairman of Local Government Arts Forum For the East of England 1998-2002. Stood for Parliament in Clacton By Election in 2014 and against the Prime Minister in Witney in the General Election in 2015. Elected as District Councillor to West Oxfordshire District Council in May 2015.
