Leading the Engineering team at Channel 5 providing technical management of outsourced resources such as playout, and managing the technology of all the in-house edit and studio facilities and support.Built the technology solution to enable the creation of 5Production, a fully in-house longform Production house which ultimately grew to become 20 x Avid.

Overseeing all technical aspects of Portland TV in-house production facilities including the Avid and FCP/Adobe edit suites, 3 x Broadcast TV studios and the 24-channel linear playout facility. Also responsible for all technical aspects of the linear broadcast TV services (platform distribution, interactivity etc).

Engineering and management responsibility for running a 24 channel linear broadcast playout facility including ingest, schedule management, nearchive storage, playout servers, as-run recorders, OfCom off-air recording, off-air monitoring etc. Managing a team of 12 full-time transmission controllers working across a 24/7 shift pattern.

Responsible for all technical studio and post-production infrastructure and the broadcast channel transmission chain.

Broadcast engineering for various clients including Camera Corps providing remote camera engineering/operating/guaranteeing for the original series of Hells Kitchen, Studio Engineering for Avago gaming channel at DITG, Jimmy Jib tech for Ch4 racing.

Responsibility for technical aspects of the live TV and Studio operations including MCR for live racing feeds, Studio engineering support, camera operation, lighting, vision engineering

Responsible for live playout of linear TV services including ITV News 24, ITV Digital channels, SDN mulitplex, British Eurosport

- Remote camera systems installation and guaranteeing on numerous OBs including Sky Sports, MOTD, C4 Racing. - Sole responsibility for Telestrator systems on BBC Rugby, BBC Snooker- Lead engineer/support for Sky Sports owned Orad virtual graphics systems housed in an ACS truck for use on Sky Sports football and Cricket
