He previously worked as legislative aide in the Nebraska Legislature where he oversaw the day-to-day management and operation of the office for the Eighth Legislative District. He was also a United States Probation Officer for the District of Nebraska and also worked as a Federal Agent for the United States Border Patrol. Andy holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Grand Valley State University which was ranked 25th in the country for its Master of Public Administration in U.S. News & World Report's edition of Best Graduate Schools. He also has a degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and graduated from Omaha Creighton Prep High School. Andy currently serves on the Board of Directors for Nebraska CASA and Metro Catholic Teammates. He coaches football at Omaha Creighton Prep and volunteers for the YMCA and Memorial Little League. Andy is married to Bridget Cannon-Hale, who is the Cura Personalis Program Director at Omaha Creighton Prep. They have two children, Moira and Will.
