Joined North Yorkshire Police as a 'Dispatcher & Emergency Call Handler' in York for two years, before spending the next 10 years as a 'Response Police Officer' in York.2014. Left NYP to follow a dream & passion by founding Ainsty Ales Brewery & Taproom. Numerous industry awards followed for beers and notably the 'York Business Press 'Best Small Business' Award in 2023'Pressures and increased debt / arrears as a result of the Covid 19 Pandemic forced a restructure of the business in 2023/24, which resulted in the difficult decision to leave Ainsty Ales Brewery. 2024. Joined good friend and fellow ex NYP colleague Carl Nickson at York based Eboracum Group, as their 'Marketing & Business Development Manager' ... 'the' perfect position to take advantage of all the above experiences!Being able to take the lead on areas such as Marketing, Business Development, Brand Awareness, Social Media and also Strategy, enables MD Carl to share some of his workload and help grow Eboracum further.2014 to Present. 'Coptoberfest Charity Beer Festival' was jointly established by Rev. Geoff Mumford and myself in 2014. It is held each year inside St. Giles Church, Copmanthorpe and annually generates around £4k each year for St. Leonards Hospice, St. Giles Church and charities / voluntary groups in Copmanthorpe.
