I have joined the Engineering Delivery Team for the Hunter Class Global Combatant Ship (SEA5000), as a Principal Engineer in Stage 1 HCF Outfit and will be leading the ZX Programme going forward.

Responsible for the Engineering Delivery of the External Manufacture Scope for T26 Wholeship and Outfit.

I am currently with BAE Systems Maritime - Naval Ships in Glasgow, as part of the Platform Delivery team, in the role of Principal Engineer on the T26 GCS.The role has various responsibilities including:• The delivery of a multitude of compartments within the Accommodation domain, including all Living Areas such as cabins for all personnel, dining rooms, recreational spaces, physical training facilities as well as offices and passageways. • Ensuring that the continued development, progressive maturity, integration, functionality and operability of ships compartments, is achieved to schedule.• Ensuring client (MOD NAA’s) approval is obtained for these spaces, through constant engagement and a continuous review cycle.• Produce supporting documentation to achieve Client signoff of Whole ship Requirements (WSR’s) determined as part of the T26 Contract, such as DDD’s (Design Disclosure Documents) for relative Systems as well as the MDS (Master Décor Scheme).• Overseeing a team of Engineers and Senior Engineers who are in turn responsible for compartments and supporting system subsets, such as the:o Medical Complex;o Shipwide Commissariat Spaces;o WC’s, Heads, Wet Spaces, Cold and Cold Rooms;o Shipwide Physical Security;o Stores, Workshops and Offices.• Overseeing the FEED and construction of a Mock-up set of demonstration ships cabin types for delivery to Portsmouth Naval Base, for the MOD and End User (RN Personnel) to Review and engage with, to provide BAE with feedback and LFE.• Engaging with the wider BAE ‘family of functions’ to support the T26 Programme as it moves from Design to Build.• Interacting with Engineering seniors and peers within BAE in Review, Change and Troubleshooting forums, from immediate Managers up to the Chief Engineer and Director levels, as well as their respective counterparts in the Programme Management functions.

Currently working for BAE Systems Maritime - Naval Ships in Glasgow as part of the Stage 1 Wholeship Engineering, Major Area Integration Team (MAIT), in the role of Senior MAIT Support Engineer. Responsible for ensuring the continued development, progressive maturity and integration, functionality and operability of ships compartments is achieved to schedule, to ensure client approval is obtained. Previously, and as required, acting as a TA in the role of Cat. C Engineer I was responsible for creating Technical Requirements Documents for the Cat C designated procurement packages of work for the Wholeship and Outfit team, on the T26 Frigate programme, while also liaising with Supply Chain, Procurement and other Engineering disciplines to ensure the smooth transition of information, from design to purchase. This also included involvement in VFM (Value for Money) studies - Investigating whether items can be bought in on the basis of historic use in previous contracts, rather than sent out for tender.Interim Product Classification - Grouping parts into defined family trees, to enable the determination of best cost production, procurement and planning activities.

Senior Structural Designer working on Pre-FEED and FEED for the FLNG (Floating Liquified Natural Gas) Projects below:FLNG Bonaparte for GDF Suez, including hull and topside structure.FLNG Leviathan for Noble Energy, including hull and topside structure.Further to the FLNG projects i have also been involved in the below:Project MOHO Nord for Total (Total EEP Congo) FPU ALIMA Refit including Topside, Structural Modules, Primary and Secondary Steelwork and Subsea/Topside Interface/Riser Connections.HEJRE Development Project for Dong Energy, primarily jacket structure including secondary steelwork, access platforms and walkways.Martin Linge EPSCC Topside for Total - Primary structure.

System Used: AutoCAD 2012 (Including 3D) /Inventor Fusion/Inventor 2013/FORAN I was tasked with producing Mechanical-Structural and Structural drawings using AutoCAD 2012 and Inventor 2013, detailing the Rap Rig and Silo Doors primary and secondary steelwork on the B14 Project, for the Decommissioning of the nuclear sites at Sellafield and Dounraey while I was also tasked with creating Structural and Mechanical 3D models to aid draughting and understanding of the Project using Autocad 2012 and more recently Inventor 2013. I was also tasked with providing project engineering services on the project due to my previous experience with Seatec involving Material Procurement, Weld Assessments, Technical Query administration and Drawing Change time allocation while Liaising directly with other project engineers, suppliers and Client to resolve issues and address developing requirements. I was also tasked with providing engineering support on the CVF Aircraft Carrier with regards to structural, penetration, scantling, seating and structural outfit modelling/drawings, using the FORAN package.

Project Engineering/Hook-Up responsibilities included ensuring various compartments reached set maturity levels for client review, while liaising directly with the Client (MOD) and their various field reps (DDA’s) regarding issues for Seatec’s Remit.I was responsible for ensuring Hook-Up and Integration issues between sites were rectified before module transportation. This was to ensure that modules once transported to the primary assembly dock would integrate with minimal issues and to also potentially identify any major issues beforehand. Included site surveys, module walks, model/drawing review and liaison. I was further responsible for ensuring Compartments within our remit met required level for Client Hand-over and Acceptance whilst also being assigned to complete all outstanding Stakeholder/Client Comments for the Project, so that Maturity Deadlines were met.As a designer I was also responsible for all HILTI first fixings, seating, equipment placement and hot work in assigned Compartments.I was also tasked with Producing Compartment Layout, Pipe Support, First Fixing and Penetration Drawings using the FORAN package.

Structural Designer responsible for detailing Primary and Secondary steelwork, Trusses and Columns, Equipment Mounts, Fire Protection and Sea fastenings on the BP Valhal Project (120 Man Accommodation Module) working to NORSOK standards.

System Used: Aveva TRIBONStructural: Producing penetration and welding key plans.Piping: Routing Piping and HVAC systems.Outfitting: Placing Equipment and related seating into modular cabin arrangements.

System Used: MicrostationStructural Designer detailing primary and secondary steelwork, sea fastenings and Deckplans on the H6 rig Project working to NORSOK standards. The work included detailing sections, elevations and details of topside structure for barges, pipe racks, equipment supports, outfitted equipment etc. I was also tasked with carrying out modifications to existing barge arrangements and details.
