About Andy J.

I am a serving officer in the Royal Navy submarine service and a chartered Marine Engineer by professional background. On operations, I have served in ships and submarines around the world and ashore in operational HQs. I have built a depth of experience in acceptance, sponsorship, finance/portfolio management and engineering delivery roles for some of the most complex projects and programmes in Defence, underpinned by a range of post graduate academic and professional study, including an MBA. I served as both the Deputy and the Marine Engineer Officer in HMS ASTUTE throughout the first of class trials process. I have also built a strong international and strategic perspective having twice worked in Whitehall, including in a international policy role, in the USA and in Brunei.
