• Managed the migration and build of 40 BAU servers from a Data Centre in the United States into AWS Cloud. Responsible for managing the migration of 8 critical HMRC services from physical servers to a Virtual Private Cloud Data center. The services were on MS windows 2003 and migrated onto Windows 2008 and 2012. Applications included Sharepoint and Citrix. Responsible for managing varied Capgemini application/delivery teams and architects to achieve working solutions.Responsible for working with Service Delivery Managers to produce and gain approval of updated delivery/support models.Collaborating with the HMRC ITDL to provide successful deployments.

Managing IaaS and PaaS builds and migrations• Responsible for managing the migration of over 200 applications from 2 data centers in the UK and Spain to a Virtual Private Cloud Data center in the UK over 5 waves for Amey with a budget of over $2m. On 2 occasions Andy managed the migration of 80 servers on 2 separate weekends managing teams using migration tools AppZero, Platespin and DoubleTake on MS windows and Linux operating systems. Applications included Sharepoint and Citrix. He managed Engineers based in Europe and India. He synchronized the cutover using 3 shift patterns integrating the migration, third party builds and third party testing. In all instances the migrations were successful. The client gave the project a rating of 8.3/10• Responsible for managing the migration of 6 demonstration applications on MS Windows and Linux for RBS from Proof of Concept to a mainline Production Compartment. The compartment was built on schedule and within budget and completed with a client rating of 9/10.• Responsible for migrating an internal HPE toolset on MS Windows from Switzerland to the UK utilizing engineers from Malaysia, India and Europe and working with client in the United States. Compartment built on schedule and within budget with client rating of 9/10.Scheduling included Discovery, Network and Compartment Design, Set up of VLAN, Firewalls, AD and BYOIP, ITIL Service Design, ITIL Service Transition.

• Joined a DWP desktop transformation program to manage resolution of application issues using the technologies VB.NET, C#.NET, Framework 3.5/4/4.5, ASP.NET, WinForms, HTML5, WMI Scripting, SQL, Java EJB, Java Applet, Win 7/8 Tablets/2008 Server, AD, LDAP, Citrix, AppSense, and AppV. The project objective was completed once the volume of issues was reduced to the point that they could be handled by the incumbent support team.Management of Agile processes, ITIL Service Design and ITIL Service Transition.

• Responsible for successfully delivering an Incident and Problem management tool into DWP as part of the SIAM tooling delivery program. This involved liaising with HP Hosting, Desktop, Applications and Service Desk organisations, with the DWP client as well as 8 third parties. He gained experience in the many HP/DWP implementation processes and worked on ITIL processes. He also worked closely with HP global teams (specifically resource in the USA, Belgium and Hungary) in developing third party interface systems and local front end applications. He also gained experience in DWP security processes as well as arranging IT Healthchecks such as penetration testing. Managed all aspects of ITIL - ITIL Service Strategy, ITIL Service Design, ITIL Service Transition, ITIL Service Operation.

• Project managed (all phases) PCFE and introduction of Pension Credit into Empower. This was a £25 m project that at peak had 150 people reporting to me. This project was to develop and install a Pension Credit Front End application into 5 new contact centres. This was successfully implemented on time and within budget.

• Acted as mentor and reviewer and led the Vauxhall Aftersales group to gain CMM level 2 certification and was helping the solution centre focus on gaining CMM level 3 certification.• Supplier managed to completion a Customer Relationship Management project for General Motors Europe to enhance a system used just by Germany to be able to handle Multi countries. Development team was based in Ireland.• Supplier Managed to completion a project for Vauxhall to reduce the amount of mainframe costs billed to them by the processing centres. Was responsible for identifying areas where reductions may be possible and then sub-contracting the work out to support/development/business teams responsible. • Supplier managed to completion a European project to replace a mainframe application with the ETL (extract transform load) functionality of a data warehouse. This involved managing and coordinating the work of 4 sub-contractors.• Project managed to completion (all phases) a 2500 hour project to upgrade a European parts engineering system. It was split between web and mainframe applications. • Program managed the Vauxhall Aftersales Year 2000 project which comprised of 15 legacy systems and their interfaces to European systems plus smaller client server systems. This comprised of 50 man months of development effort culminating in a successful error free conclusion.• Managed a project to allow a Warehouse Management System to interface with 2 direct delivery systems of which one was Vauxhall and the other Opel Ireland.
