I am responsible for the management and optimization of the various systems that support our B2C fulfillment programs in North America. I act as product owner by capturing functional requirements, refining & prioritizing the team backlog. I evangelize business & user objectives during team events and I clearly communicate business objectives to our internal and external technical partners to ensure alignment and project success. My goal is to reduce operational costs, drive incremental revenue and ultimately enhance the experiences of both the Zumiez customer and our internal business users.

Greater Seattle Area

In 2016 Zumiez began fulfilling the vast majority of its e-commerce orders from 600+ US store locations; an unprecedented strategy amongst our retail peers at the time. I was hired to fill a new role within the E-commerce team to provide in-depth analysis on the operational impacts of this new business model. I began by creating a comprehensive data-based framework for all our digital fulfillment programs. Through this process, I identified numerous opportunities and worked cross-functionally with our IT partners to develop systems-based solutions to address them. These optimizations supported double digit sales growth on Zumiez.com while maintaining modest increases to operational costs.Key Accomplishments:- I quickly expanded the scope of my role and took ownership of two new systems that handle digital inventory availability and order routing to increase my ability to impact both sales and operations. - I partnered with our Logistics & IT teams to launch four new shipping carriers to expand our B2C multi-carrier strategy in the US and Canada.- I was nominated by Sr. Leadership and Executives as one of three finalists for Rookie of the Year in 2017 for my work driving one of the largest cost savings to our company’s bottom line. - I was a part of a small, cross-functional team who won the Team of the Year award in 2016 for successfully transitioning our B2C fulfillment program to our stores.

Alderwood Mall, Lynnwood Washington

As a part of the management team at the flagship location, I had the unique opportunity to pilot the company’s new Order Management & POS systems. I partnered with our corporate E-commerce, UX and IT teams to test the interface, provide user feedback and developed training documentation. We launched these systems during the holiday season to load test and optimize them prior to the company-wide roll out.In addition to these special projects I provided onboard training and continuous development for internal & external store management hires for the district. I interviewed, hired and scheduled sales through management positions. I was responsible for training and development of these team members to drive sales and maintain operational efficiencies.

Alderwood Mall, Lynnwood Washington

Responsibilities included a broad range of managerial functions: teaching Zumiez sales and merchandising techniques to new and existing sales associates, establishing daily sales expectations with sales associates, tracking hourly progress and opening and closing the store. In addition to ensuring the store’s daily sales and operational goals were met I was also responsible for maintaining my own sales statistics; I consistently placed in the top 50 sales people in the company.
