Chas Cole formed CMP Entertainment in the early 1990s, having initially been involved in performing and on the production side of the music industry. From humble beginnings, CMP has evolved into one of the UK’s foremost promotion companies, organising 600-700 shows per year, involving artists from all over the world, ranging from new acts to some of the biggest names in music. I ran and promoted all the live nights from Monday through to Thursday at the newly opened 300 capacity music venue in Guildford.

This involved working on all management aspects for Jamie Cullum and Jason Mraz. New album releases, tours and constantly updating their networking websites. Working on Jamie Cullum's promo and keeping all of his new press updated. Also A&R work and listening to new artists sending in material and making decisions about their marketability. Giving advice and support to unsigned artist Jonny Taylor who was also on the rosta.

All duties were performed as a booking agent which involved organising gigs/tours for function bands and tribute bands from weddings to 5star hotels all around the world.

Control all the databases for their clients and PR training. Getting in touch with both local, and regional press/newspapers/magazines/radio stations and organizing album previews, album reviews, gig reviews and interviews.

Working alongside the international department and gained experience in distribution overseas, import and export of the records, international tours and running the accounts.

Looking after the artists and tour crew who were performing at the Commodore Ballroom. Organising the riders, dressing rooms and if required taking the bands out into town after the gig. I worked with artists including: Kasabian, The Roots, Franz Ferdinand, Bob Dylan, Athlete, Keane, Jet, Kaiser Chiefs and The White Stripes.
