Andy is passionate in leading technology development and has more than twenty years of industry experience. He witnesses the fast pace development of the industry and proud of still being an active R&D member in his expert areas. Currently, he is leading R&D effort in the interconnected areas of 5G, IoT, blockchain, 3D GIS and AI systems. In the past, he developed algorithms and system software for various hardware platforms from embedded device, mobile, to cloud in areas such as e-health, multimedia streaming, video surveillance, elderly care, IPTV/Terrestrial TV, GIS for smart city, etc. Accumulated experiences through the years, Andy has become an expert and guru in developing industry grade systems which require diverse mix of core technologies. With an analytic and energetic mind, Andy is continuously pursuing leading-edge and emerging technologies. Recently, Andy’s leadership has enabled his R&D team obtaining industry recognized awards such as the HKIE & Geneva Innovations awards.
