I was appointed to this senior-level IT role to improve level of services of computer-based systems to the company. This focused on definition of an enterprise-wide IT strategy, aligned to long-term business expansion plans. I was a Member of the Global IT Board, responsible for the effective execution of IT strategy on a worldwide basis. I led a multi-functional team of 12+ IT staff, in addition to control of a £1.5m+ annual IT budget. During this time, I project-led the deployment of a £2m+ Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, delivered on-time. I also implemented medical/clinical systems in the UK as part of a worldwide rollout, including Documentum. Additionally, I led the deployment of an integrated client/server-based ERP system, replacing legacy AS/400 systems. I successfully managed the development of corporate intranet and internet sites as well, improving communications.
