As part of my training to be coming a Client Services Executive, I spent 6 months as a Commercial Estimator. This role involved the preparation of quotes, before liaising with customers and Internal colleagues to secure work and see it through the production process. This role required large volumes of information to accurately assess clients needs.

A varied role from looking after the day to running of production and reporting back to clients / internal administrators on progression of work, Talking direct to clients on new ventures and advising on work timelines. Replanning ofwork and amending pricing to suit both parties. Purchasing of all materials and POS items required for set jobs and arranging.

My role was very multi tasked, from running the machines and production to studio and office work.

I was responsible for day to day running the print floor of one of the UK’s largest print company’s. Looking after all aspects of printing from litho to screen. Organising the production board and liasing with clients. Making sure deadlines were met and looking after the welfare of fourteen people.

I joined the company as an apprentice litho printer, running a five colour B1 speed master. I completed the three year course in two years.

I started as a machine assistant and moving up to a printer within a year, running all types of machines from manual to semi-automatic.
