• Managing Australia systems for 130 users across 6 sites and actively involved to support the global 24x7 IT systems together with our head office• Hands on role and the go to person for all IT operations related problems / recommendations from all regions in the world (Singapore / Australia / New Zealand / Papua New Guinea / Hong Kong)• Setting up and maintaining firewall policies for all major offices ( Singapore / Australia / Papua New Guinea / Hong Kong)• Developing and maintaining EDI messaging using Mercator (which becomes DataStage and now being part of the IBM WebSphere Transformation Extender Suite)• Maintaining IBM SAN Storage and Blade Systems• Maintaining / monitoring VMWare VMs for multiple environments (production / testing / training / DR)• Setup Phase 1 of Disaster Recovery Environment to meet immediate IT / business needs and implement a long term Phase 2 Disaster Recovery solution• Recommend and Implement backup policies as agreed with business representatives• Troubleshooting any infrastructure / application related problems• Troubleshooting problems related to most major Shipping application systems• Monitor and maintain real time replication on major Oracle databases• Refreshing Oracle Testing DB from Production DB periodically• Developing Oracle PL/SQL scripts when required from the business• Evaluating any new technologies / software that is suitable to the business needs

• Setup 30+ VPN Tunnels using Juniper firewalls from all remote sites in Australia• Primary contact on all IT operations related matters• Maintaining and tightening network security• Automating manual tasks• Provide recommendations to subsidiary companies to their IT needs• Setting up / Maintaining Oracle Databases and liaising with external DBA when required• Developing and maintaining EDI messaging using Mercator• Proactive monitoring of system stability• Setup and Perform Disaster Recovery drills to meet business requirements as well as keeping them up to date• Act as a team leader and provide second / third level support to any IT related queries / problems within the team• Developing and maintaining data Interfaces between business and financial databases• System and/or data integration / migration if and when needed due to business requirements change• Technical contact point on Hyperion Financial Systems
