What my department does is the vital behind-the-scenes element of experiential; if a client doesn’t know our names it means we’ve done our jobs right. We’ve turned up and everything is exactly where it should be, set up and ready to go and meeting – or exceeding – expectations. Prior to joining Circle’s production team, I worked in the field for two years as an experiential brand ambassador. My main job was as assistant manager for the EA Hub, a touring promotional vehicle which visited numerous locations countrywide across 9 months of the year.It is one of Circle’s longest-running and most intensive tours and was the perfect grounding to understand exactly how experiential activations work – and how important it is that the operational and logistical side of things run smoothly. The transition into production was a natural next step, and I thoroughly enjoy my new role, overseeing every element of the logistics and operations for every single one of our campaign. No two days are the same, and each day throws up new challenges and opportunities. One minute I’m out on site overseeing a build, the next I’m back at the warehouse sorting out the transport for a multi date UK tour. When dealing with complex campaigns, I can remove myself from the process and focus on the details from a different perspective. This allows me to give the simplest and most effective delivery for everyone involved.
