On this project I orchestrated supplier engagement and orchestrated the activities of functional, business, and technical architects to ensure project success.

I designed solutions and provided governance for multiple projects within a major transformation programme that improved current service and introduced new services spanning process re-engineering, automation, BI, and data cleansing/master data. I introduced new processes within a waterfall methodology with Agile components, and facilitated team through significant recruitment and coaching of solution architects and Business Analysts.

I spearheaded the design and negotiation of a major upgrade to existing ERP infrastructure, including a multi-million pound extension to the managed service contract delivered by Capita. Additionally, I reduced costs by upgrading services and renegotiating software licensing deals to better reflect business objectives. I also made regular refreshes to solution architecture, functional analysis, and technical assurance services.

I delivered architecture for significant upgrades to F&A systems, including the design of a shared service platform for the newly created NHS England organisation which comprised of a further 300+ commissioning organisations. I also designed and developed an expenses and HR portal for an employment service line and a national NHS financial document storage & reporting solution.

I was initially recruited as the IT pre sales lead for a joint venture bid for a new NHS finance shared service. The bid was successful and I then became the transition programme IT work stream lead responsible for moving the JV from pilot to full rollout. I quickly won the confidence of the existing IT management and the new JV management team producing a strategy for IT that included developing the eProcurement service.I then Project managed the design & implementation of the eProcurement service line which consisted of the rollout of Oracle iProcurement, development of a shared client catalogue maintenance service & integration with NHS supply chain.
