My strengths are Leadership, Vision, Planning and Organisation. My career experience includes Media, Consumer Services and Retail sectors. Every position I have undertaken has required me to utilise a combination of my strengths and working across several quite different sectors has enabled me to continue developing all my skills. No matter what my role I am passionate about creating and maintaining a good team which delivers great service. Throughout my life I have led teams for a variety of organisations including work, voluntary and sports settings. Teams become successful when the leadership demonstrates a consistent interest in each individual's development and growth. I strongly believe a good leader not only trains team menbers to fulfill their roles to the best of their abilities but also works with them to develop plans and aspirations for skills development and career progression. It is important that a leader has the ability to identify each individual's strengths and weaknesses and can work with them to foster both their job performance and career path.Vision is arguably the most important ability for a leader and the hardest to quantify but without it no project achieves optimum success. A leader must not only create or buy into the vision of a product, whether it be the 'Big Picture' or a narrower focus, but must also inspire and motivate team menbers to play their part in achieving the goal. Talent identification allows leders to put people in positions which suit their abilities, increasing the performance of the team as a whole to achieve the vision.Planning and Organisation are two sides of the same coin although it always lands Planning side up. No venture is successful without rigorous planning and having worked across several sectors I have gained a huge experience of planning and organising a number of different projects. During the planning stage of any project the most important aspect is identifying all elements that will be required to achieve a successful outcome. This is true across all the roles I have performed from opening a Store to making a Documentary Film. When it comes to organising the project one of the key elements is making sure that all team members understand their roles and remain motivated to fulfil them to the best of their abilities. Leaders must be able to prioritise and delegate successfully.In each of the roles I have undertaken in my varied working career following the basic principles of good Leadership, Vision, Planning and Organisation have always led to Success!
