I spend 50% of my time providing a holistic life coach and financial planning service to a high net worth portfolio of families, business owners and people who have retired. The rest of my time is spent working as a part time COO for the Financial Planning division of Charles Stanley.

Regional Head For West Midlands Region

Head of the Northern Region with responsibility for 30 staff. My role includes recruitment, coaching/ developing the sales team and supervisory responsibilities under T & C. I act as a Pensions Transfer specialist and run a client portfolio of SIPP, SSAS, DC and odd DB schemes that in the last year generated around £600,000 of fees. Around 75% is repeat income. I was BDO’s top fee earner outside of London from 2005. Having been the top pensions fee earner in 2006 I moved in to a newly created managerial role.I turned Birmingham around from loss making in 2007 and 2008 to a gross margin of circa 45% in my final year and finished as the businesses highest regulated fee earner. Part of the DC stream executive and leading a UK wide project on client segmentation. Regularly present at national training days and conferences.Prior to management built and coordinated a UK wide pensions strategy including panels, provider relationships and DC administration procedures.

I run the Birmingham team and specialise in Pensions and related issues.

I built up a Pensions practice from scratch and ended up with a portfolio of 50+ non insured SSAS & SIPP clients all billed on a fee structure.I also had a portfolio of Corporate DC schemes and after 5 years chose to move on following a merger with a firm who did not see the future was fees not product sales.
