I have worked for capital theatres for 30 years, starting as a casual member of staff and becoming full time in 2013. My main job is to facilitate visiting theatre companies, their arrival and set up of the show and give technical support involving set building, lighting and sound. During performances my duties include lighting board op, pyrotechnics op.
Toured with BRB as a technician. Duties involved loading/unloading trucks. Rigging lighting and sound equipment. Carrying out duties during performances including operating special effects such as dry ice and pyrotechnics. Also scene changes and follow spotting.
