Royal Navy Programme Manager for the Wildcat helicopter Introduction into Service and subsequent modification with the Future Anti-Surface Guided Weapon (FASGW).Management and co-ordination of constituent elements and projects required to deliver a coherent small helicopter capability to the Royal Navy and Army within a challenging financial and resource constrained environment. Working with the Programme Director and Senior Responsible Owner to report progress on this major Defence Programme to the Cabinet Office (Infrastructure and Projects Authority).Managing the efficient integration of all facets of a major weapons programme into the core helicopter programme to minimise negative impacts and optimise the delivery of the benefits.

 Management, co-ordination and delivery of change across an Air Station employing 4000 people and simultaneously affected by 3 major Defence Change Programmes. Command Board member, co-ordinating departmental activity to enable delivery of outputs.  Lead for Change Management. Interface with external projects to ensure a coherent approach to their introduction.

 Generation and maintenance of the requirements and acceptance criteria for the delivery of 2 air to surface weapons systems onto the Wildcat helicopter . Refinement of the weapon solutions and aircraft integration to contract award. Stakeholder engagement to ensure the timely delivery of all supporting elements of the project to deliver a fully operational capability in the required timescale. Delivery of an Integrated Test Evaluation and Acceptance Plan. Development of the Project governance process. Sponsorship, management and delivery of the Training Needs Analysis.

 Requirements management, capability development and training for the multi-million pound Future Lynx (Wildcat) helicopter project. Stakeholder engagement to ensure the correct interpretation of aircraft and training capability requirements and the delivery of a ‘fit for purpose’ aircraft and training system. Development of key features of the £100m training capital solution, including the aircrew full mission simulators, and a 30 year training service. Generation of an Industry/MOD Test Evaluation and Acceptance Plan for the aircraft and training. Ensurance that plans were in place to enable timely delivery of all contributing aspects of the capability.

 Requirements Manager within a multi-billion pound MoD major change programme to deliver the future Tri-Service military flying training capability.  Generation of the combined requirements for Tri-Service non-pilot aircrew training. Evaluation of bids from potential Partners for the Public Private Partnership (PPP) ‘managerial’ aspect of future military flying training and detailed assessment of the proposed training for the Rear Crew and Pilot training disciplines. Development of MoD stakeholder ‘Intelligent Customer’ status in respect of potential aircraft and equipment for training.

 Provision of simulation and training for all aircrew in the Lynx Helicopter Force.  Management of team of 7 military instructors and 7 support engineers to deliver the required simulated training output.  Provision of representative training devices.
