- Manage state & local grants programs to reduce criteria, toxic and green house gas (GHG) emissions from old diesel engines- CAPCOA Grants Committee Tactical Team Member that helped: 1. Secure an extension of the Moyer/AB923 incentive programs with passage of AB8 2. Secure a scope expansion of the Moyer/AB923 incentive programs with passage of SB513 - Review and provide comments on air quality impact evaluations and needed mitigation for local land use development in support of the California Environmental Quality Act- Member of the CAPCOA CalEEMod Working Group since its 2011 development. The model quantifies land use air quality impact and mitigation benefits. Helped with the development/beta testing of the initial model and two major upgrades. - Team member in the development of local GHG thresholds of significance and local mitigation measures for new land use development- Regional Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategies (RTP/SCS): At the request of San Luis Obispo Council of Governments (SLOCOG), modeled GHG impacts from mobile sources for the 2010 SLO County RTP/Preliminary SCS in preparation of following SB375's 2014 requirements: To quantify regional impacts from current and potential future county land use development scenarios with the goal being to identify the best development pattern to attain regional GHG reduction goals. Reviewed and provided extensive comments to SLOCOG on their 2010 RTP/PSCS and 2014 RTP/SCS.

- Team member determining whether polyacrylamide (PAM) water amendments used to control furrow irrigation-induced erosion adversely affects ground water quality. - Responsible for daily checks and collection from 48 ground water sampling locations, sample preservation, scheduled sample shipments to analytical labs, and compilation of the analytical results. - Calibrated Campbell Scientific soil water sensors to account for output variations due to temperature, soil type, and sensor type. - Managed and troubleshot network of dataloggers that collected soil water measurement. - Wrote VisualBasic macro to manipulate, analyze, and present networked sensor data graphically. - Assisted in evaluating the USDA-ARS Water Erosion Prediction Project (WEPP) model using three years of furrow monitoring data. - Responsible for two lateral move irrigation systems, drip treatments, and data collection and evaluation. - Performed spray head uniformity and pipeline butterfly pressure regulator assessments. - Respiratory Protection (RP) Coordinator.
