Thanks for viewing my profile! A bit about myself:I work for Volspec Ltd, a Volvo Penta Centre based in Essex in the UK. When I joined over 14 years ago I worked as a mobile engineer, soon finding a niche area in the Electronic Vessel Control (EVC) systems that are used to control a vast number of Volvo Penta engines.I soon took one step into the office side of the business by helping to co-ordinate warranty jobs, starting with the initial phone call right through to the eventual claim with the manufacturer, and everything in-between.My regular days on the road were curtailed when I was offered the role of Service Manager, responsible for our team of engineers across three offices and workshops. My knowledge of the Volvo Penta product was growing, and my experience with the business side of things about to start!Retirement of a Director meant further opportunity for myself and a colleague, and the three Directors worked together with our dedicated & experienced team to maintain our position as a leading Volvo Penta Centre, grow the business and keep it moving in the right direction. With the Managing Director retiring in April 2022 I look forward to the challenge of taking Volspec into the coming years as we approach our 50th birthday in 2023!I am passionate about supporting Volvo Penta engines & transmissions, whether that is the engine in a small sailing yacht, a passenger tender for a superyacht or a complete propulsion package in an offshore windfarm support vessel, not to mention the vast range of applications and environments we support Volvo Penta Industrial engines in; I love my job and the unique challenges, demands, experiences and rewards it brings me every day.★ Service support, technical assistance & breakdowns, inc. out of hours★ Excellent product knowledge of Volvo Penta’s engine and transmission range ★ Well versed with EVC systems & software upgrade options★ Very proficient with the Vodia diagnostic tool & other Volvo Penta IT systems★ Willing to go the extra mile for Volvo Penta owners in the Leisure, Commercial & Industrial segments★ Keen to learn about new Volvo Penta products & see them in the marketplaceI look forward to connecting with you and establishing how myself and the Volspec team can help support you and your Volvo Penta engine
