Swim Ireland is the National Governing Body for Swimming, Water Polo, Diving and associated Aquatic Disciplines on the island of Ireland. Andy plays a lead role in supporting best practice governance in Swim Ireland and manages specific functions including, but not limited to inclusion and diversity goals across the organisation, the collation of information and research from Swim Ireland and from the Sports sector generally. Responsibilities include:• Leading on the monitoring of organisational compliance with the Governance Code for Sport• Leading on the implementation of the Company’s Diversity Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Action Plan• Play a lead role in the drafting and roll out of relevant policies and strategies. • Leading on the development and roll out of an evaluation process for all project work and• Supporting the Director of Operations and the Pools Operations Team in identifying and monitoring measurable outcomes for pools operations.• Supporting the Communications Team in relation to our DEIB agenda and Governance work across the organisation. • Liaison for the Swim Ireland Complaints & Disciplinary Committee (SICDC) and Swim Ireland Athletes' Commission

Responsibilities included:- Part of the Operations/Corporate team, supporting the Director of Operations in the tracking and reporting of Business Plan objectives and the evaluation of major projects- Contribute to the writing of and research for key strategic documents, such as grant applications (including EU applications), and leading on policy and strategy development-Play a lead role in organising the Company Annual General Meeting (AGM) and supporting the running of the Regional AGMs- Work with the Governance Committee to monitor compliance with the Governance Code for Sport-Play a lead role in the implementation of the Swim Ireland Inclusion and Diversity Policy, and Action Plan and lead on the actions required to achieve the CARA Xcessible Silver Award- Secretary for the Swim Ireland Athletes’ Commission established in 2022- Play a lead role in developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships- Support the Regional Executive Committees in delivering their Governance agendas- Member of the Northern Ireland Sport and Human Rights Forum

The Dublin Northwest Partnership (DNP) is a not for profit and government funded local development company providing Employment, Enterprise, Education, and Community Development supports for the Dublin North West region. As Employer Engagement Officer (under the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) 2018-2022) Andy worked in collaboration with each of the teams for programme delivery, provide skills training for DNP clients and establish partnerships with local employers and stakeholders for the benefit of the local community cohort, facilitating socially responsible and sustainable initiatives. Since Andy's arrival, DNP developed strong partnerships in the areas of Logistics and Distribution, Retail, and Hospitality amongst others.Andy's responsibilities included:• Develop links with local employers through employer outreach visits, attendance at business networking events and career fairs• Assist in the design and delivery of workshops, employment fairs, networking events• Promote awareness of the DNP brand • Encourage private sector companies to develop their corporate social responsibility• Develop expert knowledge of local labour market • Promote government incentives• Actively source and generate employment leads for clients, • Organise employer talks and inputs• Facilitate the recruitment process between employers and job seekers• Develop and Maintain CRM database In 2020, Andy was Project Lead within the Internal Communications Team for the development of the organisation's new branding and website in conjunction with web developer Click Media. The new website went live in October 2020.

JB&A also construct local food sector strategies for public operators, provide food network management and oversee the applications and workshops for many Food Academy programmes, which is a joint initiative run through Supervalu, Bord Bia & the Local Enterprise Office. Andy worked as part of a small team to co-ordinate and manage the wide ranging projects undertaken in conjunction with Managing Director James Burke.
