About Andy O'Malley
My career started in 2005 as a GIS technician at TRC Solutions. At TRC, I supported the Pipeline and Terminals group with alignment sheet generation, data creation and management of pipeline features. After 2 years I moved onto my second position as a GIS Analyst at CH2M Hill. In my second position I mainly worked for the environmental group in support of monitoring reports. I gained a lot of knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Access and data standards (i.e. SDSFIE). I specialized in solar mapping solutions for CH2M Hill's Sustainability Solution group. I develop workflows, procedures and 3D modeling techniques to calculate solar potential for Department of Energy. In 2009, a private equity firm purchased CH2M Hill's GIS division and we became Critigen. I maintained most of my CH2M Hill clients while at Critigen and worked on several projects requiring a FERC (Federal Energy Commission Report) study. This involved data collection for land use, zoning, environmental, geological and cultural criteria. During the summer of 2015, Critigen was contracted to validate addresses and GPS all the family housing for the Navy. We also measured the exterior of the buildings to create templates in ArcGIS.
Listed skills include Arcgis, Esri, Gis, Arcmap, and 17 others.
