Senior Technician
CurrentSouthbank Centre, LondonSenior Technician, Production Department.2011 - 2020A continuation of my technician role, but advancing to take on more responsibilities, my new position involved being more client facing, liaising with other departments at an earlier stage, and working closely with artists and Production Management at the planning stage. I also would take on the management role, when schedule limitations meant no Production Manager or Technical Supervisor was available. I did this on many occasions, including, several Meltdown Festival gigs, and other festivals, such as Alchemy, The Baftas, Peaches, The BBC Concert Orchestra, comedy shows, corporate events, art installations, dance shows, and theatrical builds. I also was Rigging Supervisor to visiting shows who provided their own riggers, checking their work and signing it off. I also added camera work. These included graduations, multimedia events, comedy and literature events. My best camera experiences came whilst being Hillary Clinton’s cameraman for her book launch in the Royal Festival Hall (RFH), Sandi Toksvig, and on an arty “Word-Poker”, game in the Blue room.Helped advise and install the refurbishment of the Queen Elizabeth Hall (QEH).
