Applying 20+ years of development and technical architecture experience to work out how to implement managed services in public cloud (specifically Azure).Creating secure, flexible and cost effective infrastructure in Azure based on platform-as-a-serice building blocks, published baseline architectures with influences from the "zero trust network" philosophy using highly automated processes based on infrastructure as code tools including; Git, Terraform, Ansible and Azure ARM (and Bash!).Migrating mature Java applications to be deployed as Docker images (built using Azure Container Registry tasks) running in Azure Kubernetes Service clusters to; improve system reliability, reduce operational cost and improve system agility.Adopting serverless (Azure Functions) architectures where appropriate to start evaluating the opportunities to; reduce operational complexity and cost, reduce development effort and increase the potential for change in business systems.Using Azure Monitor, Application Insights and Log Analytics to gain insights into the real ongoing behaviour of managed systems.Following DevOps/SRE principles to organise teams and drive continuous product and process improvement.

Leading the Open Source Solutions team in Advanced 365, providing consulting, development and support for systems based on open source Java & JEE technolgies such as JBoss Application Server, Seam, JSF(2), jBPM and Solr/Lucene.

I'm working in Satyam Media and Entertainment Consulting Group, evaluating and implementing technical solutions for our clients in TIMES (telecoms, infrastructure, media+entertaiment and semiconductors).

The goal is to develop a company that can design, develop, deliver and support complex internet technology based projects using open source packages at a reasonable price. After nearly 12 months of development we are ready to start providing our services to a wider audience.
